In these unprecedented times, I find myself finding solace in family, friends, good books, and, as you may have guessed, tatting. The time that I spend thinking up new patterns is quiet and meditative and allows me to reflect on all that brings me joy and what I am grateful for. 2 tatting shuttles

Lizbeth thread, size 40

INSTRUCTIONS

Round 1 (motif): R 7—7, R 7—7, Ch 3—3. *R 7+7, R 7—7, Ch 3—3.* Repeat * * 4 more times. Total of 6 two-leaf sets and Chs. SLJ.

Note: Refer to the photo for connecting motifs.

Round 2: Attach thread to left joint p of left motif, next to joint p of four rings. *Ch 8-8+ (SLJ to next joint p).* SCh at last 8 ds.

Round 3: *Ch 16, R 2+2 (to next Ch p), Ch 16+,* repeat * * 3 more times.

Corner: Ch 20+, Ch 10-10+ (other end: Ch 20), Ch 20+.

Optional: Attach a tassel on one end (Ch 10-10+) as shown in the photo.
