Lavender Sachets

There is a lavender festival in Sequim, Washington every year in July. We have gone for the past five years, and it is always nice to see huge fields of purple lavender. The weather is usually warm and sunny, and the bees are busily gathering pollen and nectar from the flowers. We bought the lavender plants that are growing in our garden from this festival. They are growing so well that we have been drying them. We have so much dried lavender around the house that my daughter decided to make these lavender sachets. She simply cut linen fabric into squares, glued on the motifs that she tatted (she has been learning how to tat!), sewed them together, and filled them with dried lavender. They look and smell lovely, and can be used inside drawers or be given as gifts.
