Dreamcatchers

Happy New Year!

It has been a while since I updated this blog. The holidays were quite busy, and I finally got around to finishing this project. I had designed and tatted these doilies a while ago with the intent of making dreamcatchers out of them, but it took me a while to figure out how I wanted the final pieces to look. My daughter helped me by picking out the fuzzy white yarn to wrap around the metal rings and suggested stringing beads to go with the beads that I used in the larger doily. I also mixed in some larger plastic beads that I had on hand, but I think the dreamcatchers would have benefitted from the use of fancier glass beads. 

Along with designing new patterns, I hope to try out some new projects this year. What are some of your goals in tatting for 2017?
